Magnesia carbon brick has good high temperature resistance, strong slag resistance, good thermal shock resistance and low creep at high temperature.

The disadvantage is that carbon is easily oxidized and the surface strength is lowered.

Magnesia carbon bricks are commonly used on electric furnace slag lines. Conductive furnace bottom, electric furnace slope safety lining and so on.
