Description
Definition of Ferro Silicon Nitride
Ferro Silicon Nitride is a mixture of Si3N4 as the main component, accompanied by free iron, non-nitride ferrosilicon and a small amount of other components. Ferrosilicon nitride is divided into two types according to its use: ferrosilicon nitride for refractory materials and ferrosilicon nitride for steelmaking. Ferro-silicon nitride for
refractory materials is an off-white or dark brown powder, and ferro-silicon nitride for steel-making is an off-white granular material.
Classification of Ferro Silicon Nitride
Ferrosilicon nitride is divided into two types according to its use: ferrosilicon nitride for refractory materials and ferrosilicon nitride for steelmaking.
Ferrosilicon nitride for refractory materials can be divided according to its characteristics: ordinary ferrosilicon nitride for refractory materials and stabilized ferrosilicon nitride for refractory materials.
According to its characteristics, iron silicon nitride for steel making can be divided into: ordinary iron silicon nitride for steel making and high purity iron silicon nitride for steel making.

Appearance and Granularity of Ferro Silicon Nitride for Refractories
Ordinary ferrosilicon nitride is off-white, and stable ferrosilicon nitride is dark brown. The surface of the refractory material is made of ferrosilicon nitride, which is clean, and there should be no obvious foreign matters.
The particle size of ordinary ferro silicon nitride for refractory is 75μrm (200 mesh), and the pass rate is 90%.
The particle size of stabilized ferrosilicon nitride for refractory is 45μm (325 mesh), and the pass rate is 90%.
If there are special requirements, other sizes of products can be provided after negotiation between the supplier and the buyer.

Uses of Ferro Silicon Nitride
Powdered ferrosilicon nitride is mainly used in plugging gun mud of large blast furnaces. It can significantly improve the open-clog performance of the blast furnace mud, effectively increase the iron communication iron quantity, reduce the number of blast furnace tapping and blast furnace mud consumption, and meet the blast furnace tapping requirements. Become an indispensable ingredient of modern blast furnace gun mud. A small amount is used in iron trenches or other irregular refractory materials.
Granular ferrosilicon nitride was originally used in the production of oriented silicon steel. It can relatively stably add a certain amount of nitrogen to the molten steel. Domestic use of ferrosilicon nitride amounts to hundreds of tons a year. Ferrosilicon nitride has a good application prospect as an inexpensive alloy that provides a nitrogen source.
Granular silicon iron nitride, mainly used for oriented silicon steel or other steel grades (such as HRB400 rebar) that use nitride to increase strength. The products are suitable for stainless steel smelting, special alloy steel smelting, special refractory materials, national defense industry, electronics industry and other smelting and casting industries.
