There are 1550, 1650 and 1680 types of Silicon carbide mullite bricks. The difference between these three different grades is used in the transition zone of cement rotary kiln linings of different sizes. Compared with SiC mullite bricks, SiC mullite red bricks are denser, with better compressive strength and corrosion resistance, and have a longer service life. It can also be used in the transition zone of large cement rotary kilns.
 
As the life cycle of alkaline bricks used in the high temperature zone of large cement rotary kilns is getting longer and longer, in order to increase the service life of the transition zone. According to the actual situation in use, the manufacturer has developed flexible SiC mullite bricks and silicon corundum bricks, which are more wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant. The silicon carbide content of silicon carbide mullite bricks is smaller than that of silicon carbide mullite red bricks, and its body density and strength are also lower. Flexible silicon carbide mullite bricks and silicon corundum bricks are of higher grade and quality than silicon carbide mullite red bricks and silicon carbide mullite bricks. Silica corundum bricks can be used in the burning zone of lime rotary kilns, and can also be used in the lining of zinc volatilization kilns.
 
The resistance point of SiC mullite bricks is abrasion resistance, erosion resistance, fatigue resistance and ring formation. The sintering process is more complicated than that of high alumina bricks.
 
Since silicon carbide bricks need to be added with a certain proportion of silicon carbide, the hardness and ingredients in the raw materials will make the appearance of the bricks red and black, and the black-cyan color is the reaction of silicon carbide. However, during sintering, some cushion sand will be sprinkled on the kiln car, and a reasonable fire path will be reserved for the firing to be evenly balanced. The firing of SiC mullite bricks is firing in a reducing atmosphere, and the firing temperature varies to a certain extent for different grades, generally between 1428 and 1450°C. If the pad sand sticks to the brick surface after exiting the kiln, the pad sand can be polished and then put into storage.

SiC mullite red bricks mainly use special grade high alumina bauxite, large crystalline silicon carbide, andalusite, fused white corundum, etc. as the main raw materials. It is made by adding high-quality binders and additives through high-pressure forming and high-temperature sintering.
 
Silicon carbide mullite bricks are refractory bricks for transition zone and cooling zone developed according to the harsh requirements of large and medium-sized cement rotary kilns for refractory materials. On the basis of conventional silica bricks, by adding andalusite raw materials, it further strengthens the thermal shock resistance and heat insulation performance, and increases the load softening temperature.

1. High softness and excellent high temperature resistance. The actual measured value of the load softening temperature is stable above 1680℃. It has been greatly improved on the basis of silicon carbide mullite bricks, which is comparable to magnesia-aluminum spinel bricks.
 
2. High strength, abrasion resistance, not easy to peel and corrode. The actual test value of its strength is stable above 160MPa, which is more than three times the strength of the spinel brick. The strength is increased, it is not easy to be damaged during the transportation and construction, and its wear resistance can be fully improved. Therefore, it is very suitable to be used at a distance of 2 to 3 meters from the kiln mouth.
 
3. Low thermal conductivity and good heat insulation effect. The thermal conductivity of the magnesia-aluminum spinel brick is too large, which leads to a high temperature in the simplified form. Since the silicon carbide mullite red brick is still a high-aluminum-silicon carbide product, its material properties determine its lower thermal conductivity. The temperature of Simplified Chinese can be lowered by more than 50℃ during the same period.
 
4. Excellent thermal shock resistance. Its good thermal shock stability can fully adapt to the environmental requirements of frequent fluctuations in the temperature of the front transition zone.
 
5. The density is moderate, reducing the load of simplified Chinese. The volume density of SiC Mullite red bricks is more than 8% lower than that of magnesia-aluminum spinel bricks, which results in a reduction of more than 8% in the simplified load of building SiC Mullite red bricks within the unit length of the same kiln.
