The composition and performance of general iron hook castables

Generally, the iron hook castables are usually made of low cement or resin.

With pure calcium aluminate cement, the castable has a high initial strength and is easy to form; for self-flow, the amount of water increases, and additional water evaporation leads to high porosity and strength loss. At a medium temperature of 300 ℃ to 500 ℃, there is a significant loss of strength during cement dewatering.

The low cement castable partially replaces the cement with ultrafine powder, and the drying time is long, which will bring some problems to the actual operation. Since the cement is only partially hydrated, there is no loss of strength during the mid-temperature phase. Because of the addition of silicon micropowder, the high temperature properties of the material are limited. At 1400-1500 ℃, calcium aluminosilicate is formed; the high temperature strength is significantly reduced after 1500 ℃.
